Program Description

Over the course of a class period (workshops) or several sessions (residencies), the Teaching Artist and the classroom teacher will work together to create a program designed specially for his/her classroom. These residencies have the students up on their feet creating, devising, and rehearsing their very own written work. Students begin devising their work through dramatic activities, playwriting exercises, and rehearsal techniques taken from a piece of text within the school curriculum or teacher recommendation.
