Family and Parent Workshops

Presented by: Arts Horizons

Program Description

Arts Horizons will custom-design an exciting program of arts activities for parents and children to do together. Select from the workshops listed here in Class Act, or suggest some ideas of your own. Parent Workshops help parents instill in their children a sense of wonder, curiosity, and adventure by bringing the arts into their homes. Learn how to incorporate songs, stories, art, and music into daily life, and share enjoyable art activities together. Gain the arts advantage! Speakers are also available to help develop or enrich support for the arts in your school and community.

Educational Standards Addressed

Programs cover a variety of curruiculum areas and align with standards, 1.1 Aesthetics, 1.2 Creation and Performance, 1.3 Elements and Principles of the Arts, 1.4 Critique and 1.5 World Cultures, History and Society.
