Adopt-A-School Project  [Website]

Presented by: Paper Mill Playhouse

Program Description

Introduced at Newark's Arts High School in 1989, the Adopt-A-School Project is a sequential 4-year, curriculum-related arts-in-education partnership. Each year, Paper Mill adopts three new NJ high schools while retaining Arts High students in all phases of the program. The 4-year adoption includes visits to see the shows at Paper Mill in year one, followed in years two and three by a series of in-school residencies which are specifically catered for each adopted school. In the fourth year, students return to Paper Mill to view the mainstage shows with an educated eye, and as young critics, write reviews of the productions they see.
