About the theatre

Passage Theatre is a showcase for many of today's most provocative playwrights, both emerging and established. As a key participant in the revitalization of urban Trenton, we present outstanding plays that celebrate experiences common to all and transcend culture and race.

The theatre supports education that enhance the lives and aspirations of Trenton's youth and families, and helps develop playwrights and other theatre artists through an extensive program of readings, workshops, and support groups.

Passage is a professional theatre company, ensuring the finest talent by employing members of the Actors Equity Association. Passage's performances take place in the historic Mill Hill Playhouse, an intimate 120-seat theatre in the heart of downtown Trenton adjacent to the beautiful Mill Hill district.
